The necessity for this expansion came to be, with the rapid growth of the Jamaath over the past few years. The influx of Muslim businessmen into the fort with firmly established companies and business centres over past few years, were situated at walking distance from this Masjid. It is indeed encouraging to note that every single Muslim in and around the Fort is patronizing this Masjid for their daily salaath and Friday Jummah prayers. The annexture of a purchased land of 23 perches is the cynosure of all expectant eyes, wishing and hoping for the construction and early completion of the extension for their comfortable accommodation for prayers.

It is indeed encouraging to see all of them patronize this masjid and is also simultaneously dis-heartening to see many of them defying inclement weather and praying on the street on Fridays. In the capacity of trustees of this Masjid, with a 23 perch land owned by the masjid staring and pleading to be used for the extension, compels us to embark on accomplishing this commitment. The Muslim businessmen of this area who patronize this masjid have done their utmost by way of financial contributions un-interrupted, on a monthly basis for the maintenance of this masjid. Our reluctance to tax them beyond this yeomen sacrifice compels us to reach out to the brothers and sisters of the Muslim world beyond our boundaries, with the fervent hope of directing your attention to this worthy cause and seek financial assistance for an early completion of this worthy project. Your contributions at this hour of need will indeed be treated as immeasurable sadakathul jariyah by the Almighty Allah.                    

The Dhuas of the thousand of brothers of our Jamaath, for the Almighty Allah to shower his choicest blessings on all our brothers / sisters / donors and sponsors and their families who contribute towards the successful completion of this Masjid, will continue from generation to generation.

A tentative cost has been calculated on a square foot basis for the new structure and an approximate lum sum cost for the renovation of the existing structure, pending a comprehensively detailed bills of quantities reflecting the cost of construction individually specified.

The new structure extends to a total square area of approximately 17,500 S.F. in keeping with the prevailing market prices of materials and the cost of labour, we have been ably advised that 4,500/- per sq.ft. is the average cost of a masjid of this calibre. Based on a tentative assessment of the cost of renovating the existing structure, pending the bills of quantities. We have arrived at of approximately 1750/- per sq.ft.
